Custom SQL reports from MS Lync 2013

We are IT services company in the UK of about 30 people. We have been using Lync for 4 years and have been looking for ways to improve 1. historical visibility of our call handling statistics 2. real-time visibility of our response groups to manage call load We have looked at various commercial packages for this and have found that some have good reporting, some have good real-time supervision, but neither have both, all are very expensive and none have enough flexibility for what we need. We have looked at the built-in call reporting within Lync (all based on SQL queries) and this is somewhere near what we need for the historical reporting but it is not quite right. We have a lot of database development experience in house, and we can code our own 3rd party db application to directly see all the SQL data behind Lync. The problem we have is that it is a very steep learning curve to get to grips with how Lync organises the relevant data in SQL and this is something we would prefer not to have to do from scratch. We are therefore looking for a SQL admin with plenty of exposure to Lync 2013 that can help us put together the relevant SQL queries to find out, say, how many abandoned calls we had to a certain hunt group in a given 30 day period, or what the average time for a call to a response group is, or the average time on hold for a given response group. Likewise, we would like to be able to see how many calls are currently holding for a given response group, what the maximum wait time is, etc. Once we have these queries working, we can do all the data reporting and presentation in our own db application.
