This is an interesting project. I can do the Analysis in SolidWorks and give you a good engineering report. I have done a project and done FEM analysis on nose landing gear of a typical civil aircraft on the pivot assembly. This was a static analysis done in MSC-NASTRAN. DONE!! according to the image i drew a rough model. I have used aluminium 5052 h32 alloy with 2 mm thickness. Calculated potential energy from 1 meter height. Kinectic eneergy at 45 degree landing at 15 km/hr then took horizontal and vertical components. Multiplied with1.5 safety factor. i have solidworks analysis report ready
