I have written Modbus interfaces to Huawei, Sofar and other inverters in the past - over both Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP/IP. That same firmware (which was written for the ESP32 - using the Arduino framework) also included a lightweight web server (using simple JS + Pure CSS framework). I have not worked with Growatt inverters specifically, but have had a quick scan of the PDF document you attached and don't anticipate any show-stoppers. Which particular Growatt models do you need to support? A single model or multiple models? Single-phase or three-phase? NOTE: I need clarification on some of the questions before submitting my final bid. In the meantime, this bid is PROVISIONAL. (I might need to change the price.) Will your hardware include an RTC to keep track of the time of day? Or will you rely solely on periodic queries to the public API to decide when to start charging (based on the current electricity price)? Can you clarify what industrial automation protocols are used? I have worked with CAN in recent years. I was also exposed to DeviceNET and Profibus as a college intern (automation test engineer) - but that was a long time ago, and involved PLCs rather than microcontrollers.
