We are working on a unique infotainment platform to provide all bike riders with android auto like comforts. The hardware comprises of an Atmega128 chipset and comprises of drivers to directly upload the firmware from arduino CC IDE. Along with this, the hardware comprises of 6 buttons. The main purpose of the firmware is to detect single clicks/ double clicks and long clickese of each of these buttons and send the data to our mobile app using serial communication. The mobile app is developed and ready. Other important requirements are 1. The hardware should function only when connected to our app. So we need program that detects and verifies if our app is connected or not 2. Vice versa, the mobile app should respond only if our hardware is connected and not some other hardware that passes exactly same commands. So we need some key or password that verifies our hardware 3. We need a unique identification for each of the hardware. While uploading the firmware only, the hardware should be assigned a UID.
