From a reading of his documentation I see missing an alarm / anomaly signal for the darkening of radio frequencies, which is the main method of attacking these systems. Usually it is foreseen a recording of the devices and therefore the sending of periodic "alive" signals from the peripheral devices towards the Control Unit to signal in case a possible tampering alarm or a functional anomaly. Many similar devices also provide a backup RF channel for accidental obscuration of one of the two frequencies and switching to the secondary channel.

Currently I got similar project from regional firm like external consultant, but in practice will design everything except box:) In that project I use esp8266/32 and atmel microcontrollers in combination with android phone and central windows server for one solution and other solution is local, no central connection.
