I drive a 2003 GMC Sierra quadrasteer option, I'm going to send that most of you don't know what this is but it's basically a very rare option which was offered in 2003 which added a rear steering rack to the truck allowing it to steer with all four wheels. The only problem is general motors discontinued this in 2004 so parts are literally non-existent. the quadrasteer rear ends are usually very reliable and solid except for the one rear position sensor, which are usually the failing point. In my truck position sensor just went and to me a newbie I think that the position sensor should be easy to remake as I feel like it's quite simple. I have uploaded a pdf which shows the troubleshooting for the position sensor code that I have. I think it should show a knock of what position sensor does and if it's possible to remake. The actual center itself is about the size of a palm and has a 4 pin connector. Anyway thanks for your time I hope one of you can bring the task on. There is also a possibility of large-scale manufacturing and reselling.

Hello Read a few more documents, (mostly training documents) about the rear steering design. It was an exciting research for me, let me break it down to you. Sensor is a inductive type rather than a potentiometer with an accuracy of 4.5 volt per 1200 degree accuracy for position 1 i.e 0.00375 volt per degree and 0.025 for position 2. That is a fairly simple design which requires a magnetic disk rotating on hall effect sensor, this sensor is quite common in electronic world and is often customised according to client for ex: automatic door Though I want this design to be digital, as it can be more accurate and predictive than the analog counterpart but it can be analog(same as original) if you want. Few considerations: 1. We don't build metal enclosures, but that is fairly easy to outsource, we can do it for you. 2. Considering the enclosure is intact I'll ship you the sensor in perfect working condition with new PCB, or you can see my working prototype before shipping. _________________________________ New to freelancer but have been serving new startups with 6 live projects and 30 past successful product deliveries.
