I am going through a legal battle where I have been accused of elder abuse. Unfortunately the police twisted everything to what it was not and I am facing two felonies as a result. I have never done anything wrong in my life and I have always been somebody who has gone way out of my way to help people and usually to help them for free. My best friend asked me to move in with me when he was 80 years old and I was 40. When he was around 86 he begin to require a little assistance. His level of need increased until just after his 90th birthday which was May of 22. We were then given a 15-day notice to vacate the place where I lived for 13 years. Under duress with a 90-year-old manicure for all by myself, I moved us in with a woman who said she had two rooms in a bathroom she could rent to us. Once I moved all my stuff in I sat on the couch and realized she had cameras in her house. Discussions in suit over that and one of the cameras remained and she was recording me. Me and my friend had a really bad week for multiple reasons which I can explain if you take this job. I did some yelling and one day I was angry at him while helping him to his chair and he went to fall. I was behind him when he went to fall and I gave him a shove forward hoping I could prevent him from falling and he would hold on to his walker and straighten back up. Immediately it became clear that that backfired on me so I caught him and dragged him backwards to his chair. This was caught on video. Me being angry with him while helping him was caught on video. The police turned it into something it was not even though my friend was adamant that he was not being abused and that he loved me and wanted to stay with me they forced him away from me. And now I have tons of legal fees. I am a nurse and I risk never being able to work again as a nurse. And I need at least $10,000 to retain an attorney for the nursing portion of this battle. I have not been to trial yet. Don't know if I will. Can you help?
