Hi, I have compiled and installed custom Linux kernels. I can provide you technical help in trying to compile and run on PlayStation but i am not sure if it will work on your PlayStation as the kernel is experimental. Cross compiling should be fine as it runs on PC which has debugging but issue is on PlayStation which has limited connectivity. How will you transfer image to PlayStation? Do you have access to JTAG or serial? What is exact version of PlayStation?

Im not a robot. We are professional RnD center in Belgium. Our experience in Electronic and embedded software design. We have experience with MIPS32R family including compilers +SIMD support. We are using MIPS a lot with Buildroot Linux 4.4 nowadays for image vision SoC. I think we can make your task using our tools and experience. For MIPSEL we did also work and able to debug such cores via JTAG.

I have wide experience in embedded Linux systems. I am Linux user since 1997 and developed kernel modules. The Linux 2.x is quite old, also the cross toolchain you posted looks a little bit outdated, but I think is possible to achieve this. SO you are trying to revive and old PSX? Nice!! :D
