RoQ Simulation Engineer Requisition – Internal Job Description Be part of an energetic team whose mission is to improve the productivity of R&D engineers, accelerating the development of leading-edge instrument products - In this role, You will also be verifying proper operation of an instrument board (PCB Assembly) through SPICE simulation using internally developed, component level SPICE models. Analyze sections of the schematic in close detail, so knowledge of fundamental Analog and Digital circuitry is mandatory Develop custom models if required for supporting the Board Simulation. Your daily activities will involve working closely with the Design engineers and Model developers, so excellent communication skills are required. Our overall goal is to catch design errors before circuits are built, with focus on design issues that directly impact product reliability and performance of new circuits Specific Responsibilities: - Verify proper operation of Board schematic through Simulation using SPICE - Understand and navigate SPICE base simulation and work with Model Development engineers to ensure correctness to complete a detailed analysis. Communicate results with other Design engineers about simulation findings Document results Qualifications : Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with an interest and skill in programming, Has a minimum of 3-6 years of work experience. - Can demonstrate the analysis of analog circuits without using a computer - Reads datasheets and understands specifications of electronic components - Understand and Comprehend model documentation with minimum guidance Understands circuit analysis in the time domain and the frequency domain. Desired skills/knowledge: - Understands thermal impact of power dissipated in Electronics - Understands signal integrity and IBIS models. - Familiar with Ltspice, ADS - Experienced with device measurements and test equipment such as an oscilloscope or VNA. - Hands on experience with semiconductor measurement, including device fixturing
