Junior Software Developer / Business Analyst / User Liaison

My name is James Harakaly, I am the program manager for Republic Systems digital document traceability web and Android mobile app platform that we are developing for the World Wildlife Fund and the Seafood Task Force. This platform is being developed for the Shrimp Supply Chain in Thailand to ensure that there is no slave, forced labor and Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated fishing (IUU) in the supply chain. We are currently looking a Junior Software Developer / Business Analyst / User Liaison to join our team in Bangkok, candidate must be located in or near Bangkok. The successful candidate will help to develop critical product features and workflows for our clients and offer excellent technical support. This position will be 20-40 hrs per week for an estimated 4 months (Feb-May) and we may possibly extend contract till 4/30/2020. Some responsibilities include: -Provide technical support to all system users: in person, over skype, and with Line groups. -Republic’s staff will train you how to use our software so that you can deliver a clear and concise support. -Help translate for the other members of the Republic System’s software development management team. -Attend all critical meetings and trainings with the Republic and WWF teams, and on your own if need be. -Develop workflows and high-level documentation to assist our development team to ensure that we are capturing user insight learned through the pilot in Feb 2019. -There will be occasional travel to either Surat Thani or Chanthaburi from 2/17-4/30/19. Some key candidate qualifications: -Fluent in spoken and written English and Thai. -Must have good understanding of mobile app development and Android device functionality.(1-3yrs) -Must have experience in technical and customer role.(1-3yrs) -Must have working Knowledge of aquaculture.(1-3yrs) (preferably with the shrimp supply chain- farms, hatcheries, processors)
