XSLT for transformation of XML files

Hello there, I need some fairly basic source XML files translated via an XSLT stylesheet. The stylesheet must be version 1.0 compliant. The souce xml files contain nodes which may be repeated and only values from nodes which meet specific criteria should be extracted and transformed. I already have an XSLT file which is my first attempt at doing this and it seems to work but I am not confident it's robust and certainly not the best way of performing the task. The XSLT must also take a start date / time and adjust it for +08:00 hours - again, I have a function which appears to work but it needs to be refined. Essentially, am looking for someone with good experience of XSLT 1.0 to refine my current XSLT file or rework it entirely. There is some fixed login in my existing XSLTwhich is very basic and should be easy to interpret - it treats the xml data slightly differently based on the definitions it finds.
