FP&A Specialist for US Accounting Firm

Ongoing, monthly work needed for the area of Reporting & Financial Planning and Analysis. We are a virtually based accounting firm working with all US businesses. Our contractors (teammembers) are located all over the world so you have to be comfortable working with multiple cultures. We ask that our contractors attend weekly team meetings to stay up-to-date on all client needs and company focuses. Most reporting needs are within latter part of the first 10 working days of each month; however, weekly reports are needed as well but with less hours required. We have budgeting needs for several clients and quarterly forecasting adjustments. As we feel more comfortable with the abilities of whoever we accept as this contractor, we may add more analysis and planning needs. Work Experience we are looking for: Three (3) years of experience, including planning, forecasting, analyzing reporting and business partnering Previous FP&A or Corporate Finance experience required Skills: Strategic thinker who can also understand tactical delivery of analysis as needed Track record of delivering high-impact results Excellent written, verbal, listening and presentation skills Ability to analyze financial data, prepare financial reports, statements and projections Ability to formulate, initiate, administer policies and procedures for effective fiscal control Can handle a high degree of complexity and ambiguity and translate to simplification Hard-working and results-oriented Analytical and process-improvement oriented Thorough knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, credit policy practices, and banking systems Ability to apply numerical and analytical skills to support ideas and portfolio performance Ability to work in an extremely fast paced team environment, deliver under considerable time pressure and ability to embrace constructive feedback. Advanced Excel skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Team oriented with ability to work well with diverse, worldwide, virtual groups Contractor Responsibilities: - Analyze and support annual planning and monthly forecasting processes and models, including examining wide sources of data and translating it into meaningful and useful insights for multiple clients - Provide financial planning support for multiple clients - Produce the delivery of weekly, monthly and quarterly executive reporting including but not limited to monthly performance reporting, client goals reporting and other ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests - Consolidate and analyze departmental/function plans and forecasts for multiple clients - Respond to specific requests by leadership for insights on key priority topics - Responsible for providing financial support related to feasibility analysis, Budget to Actual, ROI, margin implementation, business case development, and ensuring soundness of process used to drive financial results from projects
