The exporter in XLS was expotring to the console the data - which was XML - so it could be printed but in XLSX everything is binary - hence you need to dump it to a file, maybe in the %TEMP% folder then in the console just log the filename the export_mrg and [login to view URL] would take that file and send it to the user you can't follow the same process as with XLS, you can't send binary data in the console and read it in another process without getting corrupted. I would expect for us to keep the same data formatting as in xls, the IDs that are linkable should remain linkable the amounts to be displayed correctly I don't care about styling, only data formatting.
