STM32 closed loop control of BLDC via MIDI

I have created a new kind of musical instrument that uses a motorised spinning wheel to strike the strings. It takes MIDI notes and translates them into fixed wheel positions. A stream of MIDI notes allows the musician to create different wheel behaviours to produce original musical rhythms - from a constant rotation forwards or backwards, to swing and all kinds of breaking and accelerating effects. I am looking for someone to take over the development of the STM32 logic board and the firmware to control a 24v brushless DC motor. I have a loop consisting of an STM32 running a PLM to a VESC motor driver, the BLDC and an optical encoder using Gray code stuck to the strumming wheel. This loop needs to be updated roughly every millisecond to provide the control we need. A MIDI converter needs to be embedded in the board (I have libraries for this), that allows data in from a DAW (such as Ableton or Logic) and data out from the faders and keys (we have already designed) that will be used to control the audio externally. We also need to convert the 24v down to 3.3v and 5v. The wheel is belt driven and needs to spin from 1-2 RPM to approximately 250RPM.
